Abstract

This paper compares the control performance, average switching frequency, and parameter robustness of a Direct Torque Control (DTC) system and a Predictive Torque Control (MPTC) system based on the stator magnetic flux coordinate system of a permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM). The DTC system has a simpler architecture and a lower average switching frequency, but its magnetic flux and torque ripple are larger than those of the MPTC system. The MPTC system outperforms the DTC system in terms of performance.
