Official Announcement – Implementation of AI-Based Academic Integrity System in EJEEE

2025-11-12

Edison Journal for Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EJEEE) is pleased to announce that starting from Volume 3 (December 2025), the journal will implement a comprehensive AI-powered Academic Integrity and Quality Assurance System to enhance transparency, ethical publishing, and scientific reliability.

This pioneering initiative — the first of its kind among Iraqi journals — introduces advanced tools that ensure research integrity and prevent unethical practices, including:

• Article Risk Assessment
• Retracted Citations Detection
• Citation Risk Assessment
• Advanced Author Search
• Concerning Collaboration Network Analysis
• Conflict of Interest Monitoring
• Deep Self-Citations Detection
• Coercive Citations Identification
• “Hallucinated” Citations Detection
• Tortured Phrases Detection

This initiative reflects EJEEE’s full compliance with the DOAJ Guide v2.6 (2025), COPE, and OASPA standards for open-access publishing and academic ethics.

By launching this AI-driven integrity framework, EJEEE reinforces its leadership in the region and reaffirms its mission to:
– protect researchers from predatory or misleading citations,
– ensure the credibility of peer-reviewed publications,
– and strengthen international confidence in Iraqi scholarly journals.
